TAMILLA WOODARD, Director

Tamilla Woodard is a founding member of The Internationalists - a collective of directors from around the world whose mission is to create a more open, sustainable and interactive global theatrical community. She has collaborated with artists in the formation of their solo shows, cabarets and chamber theatre pieces, in the development of documentary theatre and the adaptation of non-theatrical material to the stage. RECENT: the US/Mexico Exchange Decomposition at The Lark Playwrights Development Center and for The City Parks Theatre Festival. Other recent credits include, Where My Girls At at The DR2 for TerraNOVA's SoloNOVA festival (NYIT award nominee). ManUp at HERE for Downtown Urban Theatre Festival (winner best solo play), the critically acclaimed vocal musical Expatriate at the Culture Project and Cruising the Divide at the Actors Theatre of Louisville for its Apprentice Company. Tamilla is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama, former artistic director of the Yale Cabaret, member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, Women’s Project leadership council and on the Board of Directors for TerraNOVA Collective.
