Lynn Nottage, pulitzer-prize winning dramatist for Ruined. She has received a MacArthur “Genius” Award for her work, which includes such plays as Intimate Apparel, Fabulation, Crumbs from the Table of Joy, and Las Meninas. Lynn’s plays fiercely and quite beautifully dramatize issues of political rebellion, the horrific injuries done to women during war, and the attempt to overcome the estrangement between differing cultures. More than most contemporary dramatists, Lynn has succeeded in revealing cultural differences and the urgent need to overcome them.
