The League of Professional Theatre Women mourns the passing of Micki Grant - a renowned singer, actress, writer, composer, multi instrumentalist, one of the trailblazers in the formation of the League of Professional Theatre Women, an Oral History interviewee, and a recipient of our Lifetime Achievement award. Honoring the late Micki Grant (1929-2021), beloved League Member.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate it if you would honor Micki with a donation to the League of Professional Theatre Women.
The League also mourns the loss of Elizabeth McCann. She was a groundbreaking Broadway producer as one of the first and most successful women to achieve a prominent leadership role in the theater industry – a term she hated, preferring “theater community”. Liz McCann was a founding member of LPTW and received the Lifetime Achievement award in 2011.
