Directing, Playwrights, and Producers

Monthly meetings of members working in specific disciplines (playwrights, directors, performers, producers, etc.). These meetings provide opportunities for members within and across disciplines to connect with fellow theatremakers, share and exchange  ideas and information, network, collaborate, and develop new skill sets.

Mentorships

LPTW Mentorships offer career counseling, technical assistance, and moral support to members upon request. Utilizing the vast reservoir of expertise and experience within our membership, this one-on-one approach strengthens goals, develops strategies, and builds relationships.

Travel

LPTW members periodically take group trips around the globe to attend productions, tour theatres, and gain educational and cultural insights into the industry worldwide.

Gatherings

Members4Members (formerly Green Rooms on Zoom): members and invited guests discuss timely topics (i.e., industry regulations, EDIA, ageism, technology).


Coffee Hours: Experienced LPTW members help members navigate resources and opportunities, and answer questions on programs and policies.


Members Night Out: A casual networking opportunity for members and guests to connect in a public venue.


Town Halls: A chance for members to learn about what the league is doing and share thier thoughts.


Season Launch: An annual celebration of what the league is doing and where it is heading


12th Night: A chance for Members to celebrate the season.


Developing New Scripts and Reading Established Works

Julia’s Reading Room

Founded by Gail Kriegel and Maxine Kern, named for Julia Miles (LPTW pioneer), this program provides LPTW playwrights, librettists, directors, actors, and producers the opportunity to present readings of works in progress to members and guests in a public forum. 


Power Play Reading Club

Join your fellow LPTW'ers  to read and analyze plays book club style. This virtual group meets via zoom and communicates via a google-group.
